Because of Jasper
He changed our world without ever saying a word.
Jasper James McGillivray (our little lion man) is our grandson, the beloved son of Baylee and Rach. He had Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a condition in which the left side of the heart does not develop fully. On 28 July 2021, at 37 weeks, Jasper was born sleeping. A little Leo, he is the reason a lion cub now sits beside his name. We had to say hello and goodbye in the same breath. His life was short, but the love he brought into ours is endless.
Marley is Jasper’s big sister. Baylee and Rach later welcomed Maisey, their rainbow baby, and then Millie. Marley, Jasper, Maisey and Millie: each child has their own place in the family. This year, 28 July marked Jasper’s fifth birthday. His sisters hold close the blue teddy bear urn where he now rests.
We called this collection I scents you are with me because it carries two meanings: the scent of a newborn baby, and the sense that someone we love is still with us. Jasper is no longer in our arms, yet we feel his presence in the love we carry, the memories we keep and the moments we share as a family. The name gives that feeling a voice: “I sense you are with me.”
Jasper's name is the beginning of this story.

A scent inspired by the softness of a newborn baby. For the quiet moments when someone you miss still feels close, a candle or diffuser can be a gentle reminder of the love that remains. “Even though you’re gone, I sense you are with me.” Products in this limited edition have the same design and are not personalised.
The meaning behind our purple label
A colour for every love.
We chose purple as a gender-neutral colour for our label, honouring every baby and every love remembered. Purple has associations with spirituality and reflection in some traditions, though its meaning can be different for each of us.
For this collection, it symbolises a spiritual connection and the love that remains: even when someone is gone, we can still sense their presence. A quiet reminder of the words at its heart—“I scents you are with me.”

A lifetime of love.
Each year, the global Wave of Light brings families and friends together at 7 pm local time on 15 October to light a candle in memory of babies who died too soon.
But remembering has no calendar. We carry our children with us on birthdays, anniversaries and ordinary days, in the quiet moments when we sense them close. I scents you are with me is a gentle way to make space for that love throughout the year.
This limited edition will be made and fulfilled after preorders close on 31 October 2026, so it will not arrive for this year’s Wave of Light. On 15 October, you can join the remembrance with a candle you already have.

When do I pay?
Send your preorder request first. Norm will confirm the final product details, your total including any postage, and the bank details. Pay by bank transfer to confirm your made-to-order preorder before production. Use your unique order reference for the transfer.
When will my order be made and sent?
Preorders close at 11:59 pm Brisbane time on 31 October 2026. Production and fulfilment follow the closing date. Norm will confirm the expected timing before you pay. These products will not arrive for this year’s Wave of Light on 15 October.
Can you ship to my state or territory?
Shipping is available across Australian states and territories. Postage and delivery timing are confirmed before payment. Local collection or delivery arrangements can also be discussed with Norm.
Will my child’s name be on the product?
This first edition has the same design for everyone and does not include personalisation. The “Because of” field is for a child’s name and helps Norm match your order. It stays private.
What do the flames represent?
One flame represents each candle or diffuser ordered and paid for. Norm confirms bank transfers before items contribute to the count. Refunded or cancelled items are excluded. Any example display is clearly labelled as a preview.
How does my purchase support HeartKids?
100% of the profits from this first edition go towards our HeartKids fundraiser in Jasper’s honour. Profit is what remains after costs. Product purchases are paid to the organiser and are separate from direct donations to HeartKids.
